Banco do Brasil Covers
In 2011, Dueto and Banco do Brasil created this multi-city festival to allow the great names of Brazilian music to interpret the repertoires of their favorite composers. In the first edition, the program included Maria Bethania interpreting Chico Buarque, Sandy interpreting the work of Michael Jackson and Lulu Santos giving a new flavor to the songs of Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos. In 2013, the project returned with three electrifying shows directed by Monique Gardenberg: Maria Gadu singing Cazuza, Zeca Baleiro performing Zé Ramalho, and all-stars of Brazilian rock – Dado Villa-Lobos, João Barone, Leoni, Toni Plato, Liminha – uniting to perform the work of The Beatles (1960-1970). Accompanying this group were special guests singers Andre Frateschi, Marjorie Estiano, Paulo Miklos and Sandra de Sá. Banco do Brasil Covers has travelled extensively throughout Brazil.
